The day arrived (it was the fourth day of our stay there in bellapais village in Kyrenia). My friend, Andy, was all dressed in black. The glow on the face of his would be wife, Shirley, was pretty much visible. They opted for a traditional and typical North Cyprus marriage. A tough land hemmed in by the huge Himalayan and Karakoram ranges, Ladakh has a palpable Buddhist heritage that gives the architecture and the people a distinct profile.
